Agent Automation

Beyond answering a question when asked, iSchool can run scheduled, goal-directed jobs — an “agent” that works toward a defined goal (e.g. “find overdue invoices and draft reminders”) on its own schedule, then stops and hands its output to a person.

How it stays safe

Every agent run produces a proposal, never a committed action. A recurring fee-reminder job, for example, drafts the reminder messages and queues them for a staff member to review and approve — it does not send anything itself. The same discipline that governs the AI Assistant and OCR features applies here: an agent suggests, a human decides.

What it’s for

Routine, repetitive monitoring work that’s easy to forget and tedious to do by hand — checking for overdue fees, flagging students with falling attendance, surfacing upcoming renewal dates — turned into a scheduled job that surfaces exactly the cases that need a person’s attention, instead of requiring someone to remember to go looking.
